About the job

This is a consulting assignment of at least 12 months with strong long-term opportunities. You will initially be employed by Bravura, with the ambition that the assignment may transition into a permanent position with Tieto over time. This gives both you and Tieto a good opportunity to get to know each other and evaluate how you feel about your collaboration.

In this role, you will become part of a large engineering organization working with full-scale software development projects. Rather than supporting a single isolated function, teams are involved throughout the entire development lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

The environment is highly international, with collaboration across teams located in Sweden, Poland, India, Canada, and other global locations. Engineers work in close-knit teams where knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and teamwork are central to daily operations.

Tasks and responsibilities

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be involved in the design, development, and improvement of software used in telecom infrastructure. The role combines hands-on development with technical problem-solving and close collaboration with colleagues across multiple disciplines.

You will work throughout the development lifecycle, from analysis and design to implementation, testing, and optimization. Depending on your background and interests, you may also be involved in architecture discussions and technical investigations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining software for telecom and radio communication systems

• Working with embedded software development in C and C++

• Contributing to system design, implementation, and troubleshooting

• Collaborating with international development teams and stakeholders

• Participating in the development of cloud-native and distributed solutions

Education, experience and personal characteristics

• Experience in embedded software development.

• Strong programming skills in C and/or C++.

• Experience working in Linux-based development environments.

• Experience within the telecom industry, communication systems, networking infrastructure, or related technical domains.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or similiar.

• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Knowledge of Radio Access Networks (RAN), radio base stations, broadband communication, or telecom protocols is meritorious.

• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, containerized applications, or cloud-native development is meritorious.
